GOT YOUR BACK is a health and wellness store in Conshohocken, Pennsylvania. Because millions of people spend so much of their day sitting, Mr. Ham designed a chair that allows for “Active Sitting”. The Spinalis chair has a moveable seat that was designed specifically to keep the spinal column constantly in a correct position. At the same time the back and abdominal muscles are being strengthened, which is the very basis for a healthy back.
240 million Americans either have suffered or will suffer from some type of back pain or spinal injury. There are a number of reasons why. To name just a few:
Trauma – Back pain may be caused by any of the following; poor posture, poor sleeping habits, slips and falls, vehicular accidents, sports impacts, strenuous exercise, work injuries, or childhood falls. These injuries, not always immediately detected, often produce a misalignment of the bones, which place physical pressure and stress on the nerves.
Toxicity - Toxins in the food or environment can produce serious adverse effects in every cell, organ, gland, and body system. When they interfere with the functioning of the nervous system, they are called toxic subluxations.
Emotional Stress - Emotional stress of day to day life is often cumulative and creates an increasing risk factor for disease. Your responses to day to day stress and to traumatic life events are often programmed into your nervous system as conditioned reflexes. When they interfere with the normal functioning of the nervous system, back pain or disease may be a result.
Sedentary Lifestyle – Many of us are too busy to exercise, spend too much time sitting at the computer, driving in our cars or watching television in positions that lead to further pain and distress.
Here’s the GOOD news: There is an increasing awareness of spinal health and how to achieve it naturally without spending thousands of dollars! Join us on Saturday, December 12, 2009 and experience new products and approaches that will improve and even eliminate your back pain naturally.

Sean Guiney was born in Havertown, PA. Sean graduated from Haverford High School in 1985 and started working as an auto mechanic. Soon after, Sean opened a repair shop of his own in Pennsylvania and oversaw day to day operations and served two hundred customers. While he maintained the shop he also volunteered at a local non profit organization for homeless kids. He packed the lunches and handed them out to the kids and saw first hand what human kindness can do for those in need. For many years Sean dreamed of starting his own organization. In April of 2009 Kids and Hope was born.
Sean continues to help kids and their families who have gone through hard times and need a little helping hand. His mission is to supply those in need with food, clothing, school supplies and proper shelter. Sean's additional goal is to educate his community about the growing homeless situation in America. With an abundunce of support Sean hopes to allieviate this rapidly decaying environment. Sean's motto is, "to think positive and change will come," a thought we all can use.

"RACE for CACE" A Prevent Event! Sep. 29, 2009

PHILADELPHIA, PA – “Prevention is the Cure” is the theme of the Center for Advancement in Cancer Education’s (CACE) 24-hour stationary bike-a-thon. The event will kick off on the steps of the Philadelphia Museum Sunday October 11 at 7pm and run through Monday October 12 at 7 pm. Stationary bikes will be available on-site for riders who wish to participate. All funds raised will support CACE’s cancer prevention education programs.
Center for Advancement in Cancer Education Assistant Director Ryan Rendfrey will ride a stationary bike for 24 hours to raise donations for the organization's prevention efforts.
Individual riders and bike teams will join Ryan at the Art Museum as well as throughout the country.

Stated Rendfrey, 28, "I am excited to spearhead this 'Prevent-Event.' According to the World Health
Organization, 75% of all cancers are diet and lifestyle related. Since my generation has a one-in-two lifetime risk of cancer, exercise like bike riding is a fun, healthy activity that could actually help prevent the disease."
Rendfrey hopes to raise $1.00 per minute in pledges from individuals, riding teams, and sponsors. Sponsors include Philly Fit Magazine, Wynnewood Whole Foods, Vertex Fitness, St. Edmond's Bank Ardmore, Spa Fitness Center, and Hungry for Health Bars (the official event energy bar).
To find out how to get involved as a volunteer, participant, fundraiser or sponsor, log onto www.firstgiving.com/raceforcace for all event details or call Ryan at 610-642-4810.
